Foraging walk, talk and taste: Hone your skills for a new season

Pick a truly fresh salad from wild plants (aka weeds) growing in Finsbury Park. We’ll discover over 20 edible plants, tasting as we go and learning about their uses. Then enjoy the results of your foraging by eating a communal salad and sipping tea in the beautiful surroundings of Edible Landscapes London.

Trainer: Michael Stuart.

Michael Stuart is an urban forager from Kilburn in North West London. He got into foraging in his 50s after starting a project harvesting apples from back gardens and meeting other foragers. He enjoys knowing he can almost always find something to eat within 10 metres; thinking about how our ancestors evolved but we can’t survive in nature, the relaxation that comes with foraging as well as getting something for free.

(Edible Landscapes is in Finsbury Park itself. Enter Finsbury Park by the Manor House entrance and turn right. Follow the metal fence round, past the entrance to the greenhouse area, until you find the new entrance gate)
